Web Based Advert/Infographic
The venue I created is a fantasy-inspired teashop called ElderHollow, designed to appeal primarily to young adults and adults who enjoy reading, especially fans of fairy tale-inspired books and book subscription boxes like Illumicrate and FairyLoot.
I chose the name ElderHollow for its meanings: “Elder” presents the idea of wisdom, age, and folklore whilst “Hollow” refers both to the heart of an ancient tree and a hidden, secluded space. When put together, the name suggests a secret place where magic and comfort meet and the teapot icon makes it clear it is associated with tea.
For the 2D infographic, I imagined it as though the viewer is wandering through a whimsical forest and stumbles upon ElderHollow. Using illustrator to create assets and animate to create the movement i could create such as ivy that parts like curtains, creating the idea of a portal-like entrance to the shop, which emphasizes the idea of discovery and enchantment. To keep it interactive and relevant to the café’s identity, I designed clickable teapots as part of the visual, with each one revealing a piece of the brand’s story or collection when selected.
I used deep forest greens, warm browns, and soft golds to evoke a feeling of natural magic, warmth, and timelessness. These colors help root the design in a woodland setting while remaining comforting and nostalgic. For shape theory, I leaned into rounded, organic forms—curved vines, circular windows, and soft-edged teapots—to convey a sense of friendliness, safety, and the natural world. This creates an atmosphere that feels welcoming, magical, and handcrafted—exactly the tone ElderHollow aims to capture.
