Animation Storyboard

The initial idea for the animation was to depict a blackcurrant rolling and falling into a bottle, where it would then transform into a bubble. This metamorphosis not only shows the fizzy bubbles from the drink and the flavour it is but also implies that the product is refreshing and gives you a burst of flavour. After the bubble transformation, the camera would pan out showing the bottle performing a slow, 360-degree spin. The animation would then zoom back in on the drink, and the label would peel off to get the viewer more interested into the product and how interactive it is. The camera would then focus on the top part of the bottle and the lid would be removed, with the drink pouring down, slowly pouring itself onto the Fizz Pop logo.

Another concept that I considered was creating multiple versions the drink dressed as famous people from the past who would be instantly recognizable to an older demographic, particularly those aged 60 and above. The bottles would move and interact with each other mimicking famous celebrity personas or historical figures. This version was to focus primarily on creating nostalgia by appealing directly to the target audience b invoking figures from their youth. However, as I evaluated this idea I recognized that the skills that I have with blender is not enough to pull off a concept this in depth.

After consideration my options, I decided to re-evaluate the animation to make it more manageable and realistic based on my current skill set. With the additional time constraints, adjusting the animation to match my current abilities would create a more polished and realistic outcome.
Instead of focusing on complex transformations and camera movements, I chose to simplify the first concept while still maintaining some key elements that would still convey the product’s message. With the additional time constraints and the complexity of the project, I concluded that adjusting the animation to match my current abilities would yield a more polished and realistic result.

If there was more time to refine my skills, I would have been able to execute a more visually engaging animation. This would have allowed me to achieve a higher quality of rendering, more detailed textures, and more seamless transitions, making the objects in the animation appear more lifelike and dynamic. The lack of time, however, meant I had to find a balance between my vision for the project and what I could realistically produce with the resources available to me.
