Responsive Designs + Call to Actions (Post 3)

A call to action is a way of increasing the interactivity within a site by prompting the user to do a specific action (Optimizely, n.d.). Having a call to action can help guide users into understanding how they purchase the product.

Within the app and website designs, a call to action can be seen on the tickets page with the text ‘Buy now’ next to each ticket information. Having the call to action there makes it clear to users that tickets can be bought on the app/ website instead of having to buy them through a separate company such as ticket master.

Responsive design is used when creating a website to ensure that the display of the site adapts to the device someone is using. (UXPin, 2022)

When creating the final product, having a responsive design will be taken into account as some users may only be able to use a mobile device but they may not be able to user the fire festival app- this could be because the users phone is not compatible with the app software.

To ensure that the website layout stays consistent throughout all the devices when the screen is re-adjusted, all designs will either resemble the website -if size is increased- or the app – the size is decreased. If the screen is being decreased to a smaller size, then the images and text will slowly move into one column -similar to the app – with images going above the text as imagery is used to give the viewers a brief overview as to what is being talked about within the text.

Having the pages able to re-adjust the sizing of the page makes it more accessible for users. People who don’t use technology such as phones or computers for finding information may use other forms of technology such as tablets.
Tablets may not have an app tailored to their screen and by having a responsive design it means that the pages will still look professional and uniformed and the user can easily navigate the pages.
